Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal and duct board products and equipment such as ductwork, fittings, fans, dampers and air distribution.
 

• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, and hang duct systems

• Lay out, assemble, and install refrigerant piping and supports

• Set and/or mount equipment including air handlers and condensing units

• Perform complete startup and system checks to ensure proper operation when complete

• Installation of accessories (thermostats, VAVs, dampers, take-offs, etc.)

• Set hangers, roof curbs, and wall sleeves

• Use of hand tools and power tools.

• Fasten joints/seams in ductwork with solder, welds, caulk, bonds and clips

• Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutters cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine; Thread and bend pipe with pipe bending tools

• Experience with brazing

• Following blueprints and take measurements to ensure correct installation
